Here’s Part 1 of a series I’m really passionate about. It is so easy for us as parents, grown-ups, humans who are critical of ourselves, etc. to stay behind the camera. But it’s so important, and more important than you will know until it’s too late, to be in the photos. So this series is going to highlight single photos that reflect a moment that would not have been captured if it weren’t for the fact that someone took the step to schedule a photo session in order to EXIST IN THE PHOTO.

Here’s a mama with her first-born. She might have had plenty of photos of them together when he was younger, but as he got older, and they had another child, it’s easy to be behind the camera taking photos of the kiddos only, or the kiddos with their dad. So for Mother’s Day, she gave herself the gift of a photo session of JUST her with her boys. And now she EXISTS IN THE PHOTOS.
